About Life on the Vedge

I have been a vegetarian for more than a decade, and wanted to share some of my favorite meat-free meal ideas and experiments, along with some tips on being a healthy vegetarian that I have picked up over the years.

I learned how to cook from my mother, and many of the meal ideas on this site come from her. We come from a long line of Greek women who were great cooks – in our house, cooking for someone is an act of love. Though I don’t cook many traditional Greek meals, it seems that my affinity for feta cheese, lemon and olive oil is in my blood.

  1. Hi thanks for visiting mt blog and following. Husband and myself were veggie for about 15 years, but then started eating meat just before our boys were born. I still like to try and cook at least one veggie meal a week, just to show them you don’t need meat all of the time! Looking forward to reading your recipes.
